Ann F. (Schejbal) Danelski, 97, of Bremen Township, died Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake, MN.
She was born June 17, 1921 in Sturgeon Lake, MN to Joseph and Aloise Schejbal. Ann attended Cherry Grove Country School and graduated from Willow River High School. She worked on her parent’s farm and also had at one time a housekeeping job in St. Paul.
She married Philip Danelski on June 21, 1940 in Sturgeon Lake. They moved to the Danelski Homestead west of Willow River and raised four children, farming until 1979. For retirement, they left the farm and built a home in Bremen Township.
Ann worked seasonally for 39 years at General Andrews State Nursery. She made Christmas wreaths for Bachman’s in the Twin Cities, for family members and friends. She loved wildlife, flowers, was a wonderful baker and cook, being best known for her bread and kolaches. Her faith was very important to her and she was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Willow River.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Philip, son-in-law David and sister, Millie Paulson. She will be remembered with love by her four children, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, her sister Helen and many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial was held April 3, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Willow River, MN, followed by interment in the Church cemetery.
