I am trying to connect this family of Dahlins to my ancestor John Dahlin of West Sweden WI then Moose Lake, MN.

Olof Dahlin Died Nov 1925

Olof Dahlin, Honored Pioneer, Passes Away

Funeral services for Olof Dahlin, 76 years old, a resident of Alma township for nearly 40 years, were held Sunday afternoon at 2 p. m. at the Baptist church in Alma, where he held his membership.

Mr. Dahlin died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. August Peterson, in this city on Saturday, November 14. He is survived by two sons, Fred Dahlin of Kennedy and David Dahlin of St. Paul, and by four daughters, Mrs. Lewis Hedquist, Mrs. August Peterson, Mrs. Geo. N. Wiggins of Chattanooga Tenn., and Mrs. Arvid Anderson of Turlock, Calif.; also by one brother Hokan Dahlin, one sister, Mrs. Pete Norquist of Turlock Calif. And twenty-six grand children, and two great grand children.

He was born in Vermland, Sweden and came to this country at the age of 32. He was a devout Christian, even on his death bed, through all his suffering. He was never known to murmur or complain, but his only thought and desire was to lead his fellow man to Christ.

The Rev. A. O. Lundeen, assisted by Rev. C. Wahlin and Mr. Axel J. Lundquist of Vega, officiated at the funeral. One more of the early pioneers of the county has gone to his eternal rest. He shall be missed, not only by his children but by a host of friends

Carrie Dahlin Died Oct 1907

Died – On Saturday, Oct. 12, at 4 o’clock p. m., Mrs. Carrie Dahlin, wife of Olof Dahlin, passed quietly away to the home of rest. In June 1906 she suffered a stroke of paralysis from which she recovered well enough to be able to be up and around until Monday, Oct. 7, 1907, while sitting at the supper table she had another attack which made her unconscious and from which she never rallied. She was born in Bada, Fryksande, Sweden, Dec 28, 1852, was married in 1875 and came to Alma, Marshall Co. in 1882, where she has lived ever since. A husband and seven grown sons and daughters mourn her, being Mrs. Aug. Peterson of this city, Mrs. L. Hedquist of Alma, Mrs. Wiggins, of Pennsylvania, also Ellen, fred, David and Axel, who will miss a charitable wife and mother. She was always ready to do good to all.

Our loss is great, but we shall meet her again where there shall be no parting. The funeral was held Wednesday the 16th. From the home
