According to the 1905 History of Kandiyohi Co., Knut Knutson (Espeseth) homesteaded section 23 in Norway Lake Twp. The date listed was 10 July 1868.
I have what I think is his registration for the homestead.
(I have 2 papers- 1. from the BLM 2. General Land Office at St. Cloud.)
Knut Knutson of Rice County, MN deposited in the General Land Office of the US, a Certificate of the Register of the landOffice at St. Cloud---Sale of public lands

I have several concerns:
1. Does the description from the BLM correspond with section 23 in Norway Lake, Kandiyohi Co.?
2. Knut Knutson is not an uncommon name. Could this man be Knut Knutson Espeseth? The farmname in Norway was Espeset.
I would like to be able to request Knut Knutson Espeseth's homestead papers. I believe I can request a copy of his homstead papers from the MN State Archives at the Iron Research Center.
