The Alexandria Post, Alexandria, Douglas County, Minnesota
Friday, May 28, 1886, page 4, col. 3.
The POST recently contained a report of the killing of Paul Guderjohn, a Leaf Valley farmer who suddenly left these parts, taking with him a mortgaged team, harnesses and wagon. Last week Mr. James Mott drove down to Renville county in search of the mortgaged property, and succeeded in finding one of the horses and a harness. The horse died, however, on the return journey. It is thought that the shooting of Guderjohn was accidental. He and the man who did the shooting were both dead drunk at the time.
