WHITE PIGEON; James "Jim" Arthur PRIDDY Sr., 55, of 65511 Sevison Road, White Pigeon, Mich., died May 2, 2001, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo after a short illness.

He was born Nov. 21, 1945, in Belle, W. Va., a son of Herman and Margaret Lee (Young) PRIDDY, and he had lived in the White Pigeon area for 30 years. On Sept. 3, 1966, he married Bessie Elizabeth WHITWORTH in Dunlap, Ind.

He was employed for Coachman Industries for 17 years, and he was a member of the New Life Christian Center.

Surviving are: his wife, Bessie PRIDDY; two sons, James Arthur PRIDDY Jr. of Bristol, Ind. and Herman Earl "Pat" and Sabra PRIDDY of Constantine; two sisters, Kay Frances Thomas of Belle, W. Va.; and Charlotte Faye Thomas of Charleston, W. Va.; two brothers, Duanne Phillip PRIDDY of Chesapeake, W. Va.; and Albert Earl PRIDDY of Charleston, W. Va.; five grandchildren, Britney Marie-Chantal PRIDDY, Kaylee Marie PRIDDY, Austin Jay Douglas PRIDDY, Brandon James-Thomas PRIDDY, and Sydnee Elizabeth Lee PRIDDY; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon, where services are at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dwight Gosser of the New Life Christian Center of White Pigeon will officiate. Burial will be in Peek Cemetery in Florence Township.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
