Mendon - Daniel Patrick "DT" TURNER, age 14, of Mendon, Mich., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2008, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo from injuries received in a car-pedestrian accident on Sunday.

He was born in Austell, Ga., on May 16, 1993, a son of Loren M. TURNER Sr. and Tashia Lynn GILL, and has resided in Michigan the past nine years.

Daniel attended Nottawa Elementary School, and was currently an eighth grader at the Mendon Middle School. He was a member of the Mendon Wrestling Team, and the Three Rivers Free Church. Daniel enjoyed all outdoor activities, and had an appreciation of nature. He enjoyed music, working on bikes, and spending time with children and his family.

Daniel is survived by his mother, Tashia GILL and her companion, Robert Willis; his father, Loren TURNER Sr. and his wife, Tabitha; 10 siblings, Timothy TURNER, Jodi REEVES, Jason REEVES, Robert TURNER, Brian TURNER, Loren TURNER, Jr., Heaven TURNER, Sienna TURNER, Maria TURNER, and Leanna WILLIS; maternal grandfather, John P. BOYLE; paternal grandfather, Hugh H. TURNER; maternal great-grandmother, Ellen Jean KAMMER; paternal great-grandmother, Clara BRAMLETT; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Keith GILL and Laura BOYLE; and paternal grandmother, Linda TURNER.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Mendon United Methodist Church with Pastor Rick Leland of the Three Rivers Free Church officiating.
