TRIMNELL, John Albert
Of Three Rivers
Passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 following a tragic accident. He was born in Vineland, New Jersey on January 23, 1937, the son of J. Howard and Frances (vonWolffradt) Trimnell. Mr. Trimnell has been a resident of this area since 1972, where he moved from Vineland, NJ to set up the accounting dept. at Owens-Illinois in Constantine, MI, where he retired in 1998. John graduated from Gettysburg College and attended Temple Univ. for post graduate work. He was also a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. John enjoyed civil war history, and was involved locally in a civil war reenactment unit in the artillery division. Mr. Trimnell was very active in the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the board, was past treasurer, and also taught Sunday School. He was also a member of the Gideons. He was Past President of the board at St. Joseph Valley Community Credit Union. He was active in Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, and also in Junior Achievement in New Jersey. Mr. Trimnell was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving family, wife, Elaine (nee Ciraolo) Trimnell of Three Rivers, whom he married in Vineland, NJ on February 19, 1966; three sons, John of Grand Rapids, Matthew of San Diego, CA, and Tad Trimnell of Three Rivers; one brother, Ralph Trimnell of Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Hohner Funeral Home, Three Rivers. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Memorials may be donated to the Three Rivers Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
