A couple of bits of information that may be useful to you.... Hulet Foster - supposed father of your Uriah - was killed during the battle of Lundy's Lane in July of 1814. I looked in the military records for the War of 1812 and found him listed as a POW. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1971-26866-2383-98?... I happened to notice on the 1810 census for Montromery Co., NY there was a Samuel Foster listed next door to Ubit Foster. Samuel is still there in 1820 but Ubit isn't. I looked up Samuel Foster in the War of 1812 material and found that he served in the same unit as Ubit (Hulet). https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.3.1/TH-1961-26866-3121-47?.... They both served under a Capt. Sadlier - which probably is Clement Sadlier. I can't locate a wife for Samuel. Maybe nothing, but at least it's a possibility they were brothers.
