My mother's grandmother was Ina nee Hanks Godsave Verdenberg
a sister to Ellen Crapps. I have a very old photo of Ellen with her mother, Olive nee Mills Hanks and apparently two of Ellen's young children.I have been searching for information about Ellen for many years. Juat today I found on Newaygo Michigan Beaver Twp site a story about that original history where it was mentioned that in 1895 Nicholas and Ella Crapps donated 5 acres of land to the Diocese of Grand Rapids and that Nicholas helped to hew the lumber. Also found slim information that a Jean Crapps is interned in the Volney cemetery with other early settlers of that are but nothing is listed about her parents and or siblings. I would like to learn more about the Crapps family once of that area and am very willing to exchange all that I have about the connecting families: Hanks, Godsave, Verdenberg, Dodge and of course my mother's family I have numerous photos to share of the connecting families. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.
