DOOLAN, Harold J. - G-3104 Alcott, age 60, died April 13, 1982, at St. Joseph Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, April 16, 1982, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Joseph R. Robb officiating. Burial in New Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Doolan will lie in state at the Zelley Funeral Home, N. Franklin at Bennett where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 PM Thursday, April 15, followed by a memorial service under the auspices of Davison Knights of Columbus at 8 PM. Mr. Doolan was born in Flint, Mich., August 19, 1921, the son of Patrick and Margaret Doolan and had resided in Flint all his life. He married Martha O’Brien in Buffalo, N.Y., September 20, 1947. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, 1942-1946 and was a graduate of Bakers Business College. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Davison Knights of Columbus and the City Employees Club. He was an accountant for the City of Flint and was formerly employed by the State of Michigan Treasury Dept. He will be remembered for the love he bestowed on his family and for the pursuit of the simple life. Surviving are; wife, Martha; 5 sons, Patrick and wife Sharon of Saginaw, Michael of San Diego, Brain, Kelvin and James of Flint; 5 daughters, Colleen Doolan of Burton, Shelia and husband Dennis H_ _e of Flint, Cheryl and husband LeRoy Meade of Pinckney, Margaret and husband Robert Blosser of Flint and Judith Doolan of Lennon; grandson, Martin Doolan; 3 granddaughters, Cristy Doolan, Candace Blosser and Courtney Meade.
