Aline Cooper (Krogel-Gould) passed away on April 19, 2006. She was 92 years old. Aline was born to Will and Catherine (Klett) Gould on August 29, 1913. She was a graduate of Western Michigan College, where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree. She taught for 42 years in Dowagiac and Rural Area. She was active in many community activities. She was a member of the Dowagiac Business and Professional Women, attended the North Wayne Mennonite Church. She also volunteered at the Dowagiac Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Cooper, in 1982. She is survived by four sons and their wives, Ed and Judy Cooper of Kalamazoo, MI, James and Cathy Krogel of Stevensville, MI, Richard and Gloria Krogel of Bangor, MI, and William and Anita Krogel of Warsaw, IN. Mrs. Cooper was "grandma" to ten grandchildren, Brian Cooper, Scott Cooper, Bruce Krogel, all of Kalamazoo, Jason Cooper of Detroit, John Krogel of Benton Harbor, MI, Lori Gebruers of Henderson, NV, David Krogel of Decatur, MI, Kristina Shepherd of Lima, OH, Nate Krogel of Detroit, MI, Kara Krogel of Warsaw, IN; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Aline was a loving mother and friend who loved to travel. She will be missed greatly. She will always be remembered for her wit and spunk. Funeral services for Aline will be Saturday, April 29th at 11 a.m. at the Groner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 301 Main Street, Dowagiac. Friends may call on Saturday April 29th from 9:30 until time of service. Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 5110 S.
