I have been doing French Canadian Genealogy for over 30 years, so I know where the sources are. I subscribe to a website BMS2000.org that gives me direction. Then the familysearch website which is free has a lot of information including the Canadian Church records, though unfortunately they are not indexed. That is why I use the BMS2000 website to get the location and the date and then search the familysearch site.
I am not a Frenier researcher I am just a member of the Worcester County list and if I see a French Canadian question I see what I can find.
As to proceeding next I would try the familysearch site, Luckily records in Canada are really good as the church records give the parents names including the Mother's maiden name which most records don't include that.
