Surnames: Mayo, Savage, Wescott, Tripp, Wilson, Verril, Thurlow, Campbell, Travis, Cyrus, Ellwell, Colbath, Gautreau, Marsh, McFarland, Judkins
I am looking for members of my ancestry and information but have had no idea where to look or what to do. If anyone has information it would be greatly appreciated. mykhaila29 at yahoo can be emailed if I can't get in on here for some reason, my computer tends to give me problems logging in to different sites lately.

Savage, Mayo, McFarland, Judkins, Colbath, Gautrea these are some of the name I am trying to get information on, so far this is all I have:

My Grandfather is Robert Winthrop Savage

I've been trying for nearly ten years to find things and so has another member of my family and I don't have the copies of what she does. The most I remember from what she said was that our Savage ancestors were given land by the Queen in Ireland or Scotland, I can't remember which. But my mothers side of the family has Scotch, Irish and English blood which is what is making it so hard for me to figure out what I'm doing.

Robert W Savage's grandfather or great grandfather (I couldn't understand my mother) was George Edwin Savage.
We also have a Myrtle Wescott, Foye Wescott, Linda Tripp.
Then some of the surnames are Wilson, Verril, Thurlow, Campbell, Ellwell and Travis.

I remember once before my grandmother Helen J Savage died that she said an old family bible they lost in a fire traced the Mayo's of her family back to coming over on the Mayflower, apparently one of her ancestors was among the first clergy to step foot in America.

I also recall something about hearing that the Savages were granted land by a queen but I can't recall if that was the Irish side or Scottish side. If I remember correctly it was for service to the crown during that time somewhere before the 16th century if I remember right.
