I found a 1942 WWII Registration Card for Emile John Funck. He signed it E.J. Funck. He was 54 years old and was born 06 Apr 1888 in New Orleans. The card notes that he lived at 1828 St. Roch Avenue in New Orleans.
**In that same year, there were WWII Registration Cards for: Frederick George Funck, born 04 Jun 1885 in New Orleans AND a George Fred Funck, born 05 Oct 1890 in New Orleans. Another WWII Registration Card was for Peter Funck, born 24 Aug 1879 in New Orleans. I do not know if any of these were related to Emile John Funck.
**The 1880 U.S. Census for New Orleans shows a Funck Family with parents Jacob, 26, and Louisa, 22, both born in Louisiana, and with both their parents born in Germany. Children were: Frederika, 2; and Peter 10 months, and born in Louisiana.
**A 1900 U.S. Census for New Orleans shows a Funck Family living on Elysian Fields Ave Parents were George, 39, and Louise, 40, both born in Louisiana, but with both their parents born in Germany. Children were: Frederick, 15; John, 12; George, 9; Olivia, 7; Catherine, 4; and Clara, 1. All children were born in Louisiana.
**The 1910 U.S. Census for New Orleans shows a Funck Family (probably the same family in the 1880 Census), with parents Jacob, 55, and Louise, 52, both born in Louisiana, and the parents of both born in Germany. Children were: John, 18; and Alma, 13. All children were born in Louisiana.
**Does anything here ring a bell as it may relate to your family?
