BENTON, LA --- Services for Mrs. Virgie Mary Shoumaker, 99, will be held Friday, May 19, 1995 at 2:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. The Rev. Ray Hall, pastor of Metro Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Plain Dealing Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 18, after 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel.

Mrs. Shoumaker died Wednesday, May 17, 1995 at the Pilgrim Manor North Nursing Home. Mrs. Shoumaker was a former resident of Plain Dealing and a member of the First Baptist Church of Benton. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Shoumaker was preceded in death by her husband, Berry Shoumaker Sr.; two sons, Berry Shoumaker, Jr. and Clifton Shoumaker; and two daughters, Norma Lee Hope and Louise Gannon.

She is survived by her daughter, Vivian Benson and her husband J.C. of Benton; two sons, Roland Shoumaker and wife Alma Jean of Plain Dealing, and J.B. Shoumaker and wife Barbara of Bethany; one brother, Joel Jones of Crystal Springs, Miss.; and a daughter-in-law, Claudie Shoumaker of Henderson, Texas; 31 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
