The 150th anniversary of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church was observed Saturday night here at the community center and was well attended.
The history of the church was given by Mrs. Bryan Blankenship. Mrs. Sallie Miller gave some interesting information on the birthday of the church in Dickson County, Tenn. in 1810.
A huge birthday cake was baked and beautifully decorated by one of the members, Mrs. Hallie Powell. A log cabin was made by two small boys, Bobbie Winstead and Tommy Cole, resembling the first one used by the denomination at Dickson County, Tenn.
The Shiloh Church at Lisman was organized under a shed in 1843 and in 1848 was replaced by a log structure. In 1860 a new frame building was erected. The present church was built in 1903. **
