I located Luke in the 1850 census in Bracken County. The name was misindexed as Harben. You should be able to find it that way.

I also found a John Harben age 19, and Theressa 15 (his wife?). So these were possible relatives of Luke.

Since the name Dye implied a family name I searched for a Luke Dye and found him in Mason County, which borders Bracken to the east. Luke Dye was born in 1790 in New Jersey. His wife was Nancy Harber. In 1850 Luke Dye was in Mason County. He had a wife, children and a man named Joshua Harber, age 55 living with him. So this suggests a strong connection between your Harber family and Luke Dye. I do not know whether Joshua was the father of your Luke Harber. Joshua's age and the ages of his family were a bit perplexing in the 1830 and 1840 census. However, I think it would be a good start to look at Nancy Harber and any of her possible brothers. They are the most likely candidates for the father of Luke Harber. And I think that Mason County is a good location.

By the way I found the name spelled as Harbor and Harbour also, so don't overlook these possibilities.
