Surnames: FORTSON, WRIGHT
Willis Wright and his wife Lucy Fortson Wright migrated to Trimble County, Kentucky from Virginia. Willis Wright's Will was probated in Henry County in 1821. A transcription of it was posted by Pastor Nathan Riley.

The information given on Ancestry.com's public trees lists Lucy as dying in 1815 but no day, month or burial place OR reference.

In Willis Wright's Will he leaves his estate to his wife Lucy. Not sure of when his Will was made but PROBABLY after 1815 and closer to his death date. That means Lucy most likely died AFTER the date of 1815.

On the 1850 census of Oldham County, Kentucky, there is a Lucy Wright aged 85 living in the home of Judith Meade of Meade's landing. The History of Oldham county gives the information that Lucy Wright was also one of the founders of Liberty Baptist Church located right across from the Meade's Landing Sign on Highway 42 (2011)

HOWEVER, I have researched not only Judith Meade's family of origin AND the Meade family. There can be absolutely NO kinship between Lucy Wright and Judith Meade.

So we are left with a mystery?
1) Why was this Lucy Wright living with a non-family member at age 85.
2) WAS this Lucy Wright, the widow of Willis Wright.
3) Willis Wright would have left his widow financially comfortable so WHY would his widow be living with a non-family member when she still had children living in the general vicinity.
4) This Lucy Wright would have been born 1765 which is earlier than the birth date given on most family trees as the wife of Willis Wright.
