Surnames: Oak Grove School, Keown, Crabb, Horn
I have seen pictures of the Oak Grove School, one made about 1909, with a group of children beside it. A few names I remember included John Keown, Arthur Crabb and Susie Crabb. I do know that it was later abandoned when the children began going to Cromwell School, and used as Oak Grove Church of God until around 1932, when they built a log structure nearby and tore down the old school house.
This was on what is now #505 South, Cromwell, KY.

Does anyone know where the school got their water supply? Was there a spring nearby? I am quite certain there was no well at that time.
I am just interested. As I remember, the first well dug there was around 1954, when Rev. Farris Horn was pastor of the church. They had already built a framed structure for church, and had also built a parsonage next door.
