Classification: Query
Surnames: Wilson, Dillon
My paternal 2x GGF was Bayliss W. Wilson married to Samantha Tucker
BIRTH 22 Dec 1869 • Sardis, Mason, Kentucky
DEATH 2 Apr 1950 Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio

I know his father's name was James Wilson married to Serena Dillon, but the trail goes cold after that. I'm hoping to find records and DNA matches that can help me break down this wall. I have many DNA matches that confirm the link to James and Serena through 3 of there children, but the trees of these matches all show the wrong James.

I'm looking for information about this line. My father was Steven Ellis Wilson (1955-2013), son of Ellis Warder Wilson (1929-1992), son of Ira Mills Wilson (1891-1954), son of Bayliss Wilson (1969-1950), son of James Wilson (abt. 1833 - 1902).

James is my brick wall, but most of the trees I find with these family members show a James Robert as the father. I have several records proving this is not correct.

Bayliss had two brothers.
John James Wilson 1863-1931 m. Mary Isabella Ross
Wyatt Wilson 1866-1924 does not appear to have been married, but listed as a widower on his death certificate as reported by his nephew Asa Polley.

He had three sisters.
Iva (Ivy) Wilson 1875-1966 m1. William Knight and m2, William Harbin
Julia Ann Wilson 1876-1949 m. Ezra Polley
Mina A. listed as an infant in the 1880 census but disappeared. I believe she passed as a young child.

His mother, Serena, was listed as having 7 children with 5 surviving to adulthood. It was William Harbin (Ivy's second husband) who is listed as the informant on the death records for Serena (my 3xGGM) and her son, Bayliss (my 2xGGF).
