Surnames: Thomas, Caudill, Collins
I know very little of my paternal side of the family. My father left us when I was an infant and I would like to work on this side of my family tree. My father and his parents have all passed and I don't have much to work with. I do have my grandfathers obituary which gives me a little groundwork.

My grandfather was Carl Thomas, born June 1, 1909 in Knott County to Robert and Rosa (Collins) Thomas. He married Dalma Caudill. According to his obit, my grandfather had 3 brothers living in Whitesburg at the time of his death in February of 1970. They were Watson, Linville and Ellis Thomas. He also had 7 sisters, Mrs. Ora Mason, Mrs. Oma Kiser and Mrs. Vernie Niece, all of Whitesburg, Mrs. Sabrina Lucas, and Mrs. Bobby Jean Lucas both of Detroit Michigan and Mrs. Mattie Taylor and Mrs. Esta Mae Crow both of Tiffin, Ohio. I remember attending many funerals in my youth in Whitesburg Kentucky but can't remember names. We always went to my great grandparents house afterwards but they were always just called Big Mom & big Pop so I'm not sure whether they were my grandmothers parents or my grandfathers parents. I do remember my Grandmother Dalma Caudill Thomas had several siblings and all of their first names began with the letter D. The only ones I remember are Dorothy, Delmer, Della, and Dainy and my grandmother Dalma. If any one can help me out, please email me!
