Surnames: Holman, Ramsey, Van Hise, Reynolds, Peppler, Perrine, Dye

I am trying to identify the parents of James Holman (Holeman, Holdman), born about 1814 in Madison Co., Ky, married Martha Ramsey on Jun 04, 1835 in Garrard Co., Ky, and died around 1886 in Crab Orchard, Lincoln Co., Ky.

He is the earliest documented Holman in my family tree. My Holman research has focused on the Holmans who moved from North Carolina to Kentucky (along with Daniel Boone).

My cousin is a direct male descendant of this James Holman (great, great grandson). He recently was tested by Family Tree DNA. His results do show a connection to the North Carolina/Kentucky Holman lines, but show a much stronger connection (37 of 37 markers) with the results for a descendant of the line below.
Direct Descendants of Kenneth Holman
0 Kenneth HOLMAN b: 1787 d: 31 Mar 1871 in Upperfreehold, Monmouth Co., N.J.
.. +SARAH b: 1787 d: 1862
..... 1 William C HOLMAN b: 1810 in Monmouth, New Jersey d: 12 Apr 1899 in Millstone, Monmouth, New Jersey
......... +Catharine Sutphin VAN HISE b: 31 Dec 1812 in Cranbury, Middlesex, New Jersey, USA d: 31 Aug 1875 in Millstone Twp., Monmouth, New Jersey
............ 2 John H. HOLMAN b: Dec 1839 in Mercer Co.,New Jersey d: 1911
................ +Margaret C. REYNOLDS b: Mar 1840 in New Jersey m: 1866
.................... 3 Perrine Robert HOLMAN b: 31 Dec 1878 in New Jersey d: 1925
........................ +Cora Louise PEPPLER
........................... 4 Morgan Perrine HOLMAN b: 1914 in Upper Freehold twp, Monmouth Co., New Jersey d: 1994

I am assuming, but have no documentation, that Kenneth Holman (b 1787) is a descendant of Robert Holman (b 27 Mar 1653 in Musbury, Devon, England and d Jun 1709 in Freehold, Monmouth, New Jersey).

I am now trying to find the common ancestor for these two Holmans (one in Kentucky and one in New Jersey) So, I'm looking for Holmans born in New Jersey, but living somewhere in Kentcky in the early 1800s. Related families that may have traveled with the Holmans are Perrine/Prime and Dye/Dey.
