Skip I am not related to your family and couldnot find any reference to the Savage family. However, here is some info I found about your Sexton Family.

The first mention I found of this Sexton Family was the 1870 census of Carter Co. Henry Sexton was born 1839, probably in Carter Co.. Circa 1859-1860 he married "Catherine" (this is probably Emeline). She was born 1843 in Ky. and they had the following children: James (b. 1861), John (1866), and Lucinda (1869).

On the 1880 census, father Henry was not there. If he was dead, he died circa 7/1879-6/1880. On the 1880 census, was Emeline Sexton (age 38), son John Henry (13), Lucinda (11), Winfield (8), Millard (6), Andrew (3), and son Eddy (b. ca 7/1879). Since the 1880 census was taken in June, 1880, apparently wife Emeline died
shortly thereafter.

It appears several of their children got married during the period circa 1890-1905. On the 1910 census, son John lived in Metcalf Co., Ky. and son Millard lived in Wayne Co., W. Va.

I hope this helps you in your family search. Bob Eddings.
