HESSTON -- Evelyn M. Budde, 85, certified nurse assistant and certified medication assistant, died Saturday (June 23, 2001) at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
She was born May 14, 1916, to David and Mable (Osborn) Angle in Byron, Okla. They preceded her in death. She married Oscar Budde Jan. 27, 1937, in Newton. He preceded her in death July 28, 1981.
She was employed by both Kansas Christian Home and Friendly Acres Retirement Community. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and had been a resident of Schowalter Villa in Hesston since July 1997.
Survivors include: two sons, Carl Budde of Newton and Robert Budde of Chelsea, Okla.; a daughter, Caroline Martin of Orange City, Fla.; two brothers, Paul Angle of Hiram, Ohio, and Kenneth Angle of Wichita; four sisters, Lois Swanson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Helen Aldrich of Lamont, Okla., Erma Swartz of Glasco and Norma Ormandy of Sun City, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by: two brothers, Dale Angle and Eugene Angle; and a sister, Thelma Angle.
Visitation will be until 9 p.m. today with family greeting friends from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, all at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Rick Dages officiating.
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
