1870's Brick Wall for marriages in Webster. Any advice??!

I have searched in my amateur way for the marriages of two of my Webster County ancestors for years, but to no avail.

Norman M born 1846 and Alfred R Hutchison born 1855 were the sons of George Hutchison who resided in Webster County by 1870. Norman was born in Michigan and Alfred in Keokuk County, but by 1870 and their marriageable years they were in Webster.

Any advice on where to look for marriages?

Norman was in the Civil War and his papers say 'survived the war' so at least he COULD have married.

I suppose if they died young out in Iowa in those days records were not kept and they were just buried.

The name is often spelled Hutchinson but most often Hutchison.
