I’m seeking information on the children of John and Mary (Worcester) Patton. Mary was born in Le Grand Township, Marshall County, Iowa. She was a daughter of Justus Worcester, who came to Iowa and settled in Marshall County. Later he moved to Grinnell, in Poweshiek County. He was a cousin of the compiler of Worcester’s dictionary, Joseph Emerson Worcester.

Mary's husband John was born in Clearfield County, PA. He was a self-taught lawyer, who became one of the most prominent attorneys in Poweshiek County, Iowa where he was elected Mayor of Grinnell in March 1911.

I have very little on the families of John and Mary's children. Of the six children, I have identified only three spouses. The most information I have is on Edward’s (b 1891) descendants, but all the information I have on the children is sketchy at best.

Any help one can provide on this branch of our Clearfield County families would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
