WILLIAM P. KIRKPATRICK, one of Wea Township's active and enterprising citizens, was born December 18, 1856, a son of JAMES W. KIRKPATRICK, a native of Pickaway County, Ohio, who is one of the prominent men of Montgomery County, Indiana. JAMES W. KIRKPATRICK was united in marriage to MISS SARAH A. HALSTEAD, who was born in Montgomery County, Indiana, and they are the parents of three children--FRANK, residing in Lauramie Township, this county; WILLIAM P., the subject of this sketch, and ALICE, wife of WILLIAM DICKS, of Cincinnati, Ohio.

WILLIAM P. KIRKPATRICK was born on the same farm on which he now lives, and his education was received in the common schools of Stockwell and Greencastle. His farm, which is one of the finest in Wea Township, consists of 207 acres, well improved and under fine cultivation, the entire surroundings of the place showing the care and taste of the owner. He has made many improvements on the place, and in 1887 he erected a good residence. MR. KIRKPATRICK is still a bachelor. He is a man of genial dispostion and of strict integrity, and is numbered, both socially and financially, among the leading citizens of the township where he has spent his life.
