Albert DILDAY, wife Sarah Jane DILDAY (WHEELER) born 1/28/1874 Jackson Co. Il either part or full blooded Cherokee died 6/17/1947 Jackson Co. Il, Albert DILDAY dates unknown.
I am trying to connect Albert DILDAY to Simeon DILDAY found 1840 census Union Co. born SC died nov 1845 or Elias DILDAY found 1850 census Union Co. also born SC or Elisha DILDAY found 1860 census born Ga.,who may have been older son Elias DILDAY. From looking at the census the DILDAY migrated from SC; GA; TN; IL
From talking with older DILDAYS the name Simeon DILDAY comes up in the line somewhere, this maybe the earliest Simeon DILDAY or the son of Elias DILDAY who was named SIMEON.
ALBERT & SARAH JANE DILDAY's children were:
Clayburn DILDAY, Hattie DILDAY married LYBARGER, Dara DILDAY married JANNET, Mae DILDAY married HOLLOCK, Henry DILDAY, Lacy DILDAY, Charles DILDAY
I would some day like to link the DILDAYS in Ill to Hans Jacob DILTHEY (DILTEY) came to the colonies from Germany in 1709 with wife Catharina and children to New York. I found DILTHEY spelled many ways in the same family DILDEY, DILDAY, DILDINE, DILDA, DILDY.
