Mrs. Kate L. Coleman
Long Point, Ill., Feb. 21 Mrs. Kate Laura Coleman, 71, resident of Long Point most of her life, died at about 10 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary hospital, Streator, after an illness of three months. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Christian Church, Long Point. Burial will be in Long Point cemetery. Mrs. Coleman was born Aug. 25, 1876 in Pennsylvania, daughter of John and Susan Leichliter. She and George Coleman were married in February, 1896, in Long Point, He died in 1910. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. George Eisele, of Long Point, and Mrs. Edna Weber, of Graymont and one son, Clifford, of McNabb, two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ellen Dawson, of Pontiac, and Mrs. Jess Pickens of Genesco, one sister, Mrs. David Pritts, of Cleveland, Ohio, one grandson and two great grandchildren.
Note: Should read a daughter of William and Susan Leichliter. Could have mixed up the name of her father William with that of her grandfather, John Shultz. I would appreciate hearing from a descendant of Kate. Kate's father was the brother of my gggrandfather, David Williams Campbell Leichliter of Fayette Co., PA
