I have visited the link for the information on Catherine Hoover's parents you sent me. There was census information showing Rudolph living near all of the Hoovers and that Jacob and Eve Miller Hoover had a daughter Catherine on the 1850 census. Is this the evidence you are referring to or is there a family record? I am trying to prove her parents are George and Polly Judy Hoover and cannot explain why there is no Catherine listed with them in 1850. Unless one of the daughters listed in 1850 census with George is Catherine and she was using a middle name. Since they are living only a few houses from Jacob and Eve, could she have been visiting and was not really the daughter of Jacob and Eve but George and Polly? I am including the part of the will verbatim that concerns the children and their spouses. The rest of the will deals with how the money is to be paid and the names of his grandchildren (the children of John and Lucy Ann) who will inherit also. Will of George Hoover #168 of 1887 Westmoreland Co., Pa "First I direct my son John and wife Lucy Anna shall have and own the farm on which I now reside situated in Cook township County and State aforesaid provided they keep me during the term of my natural life and bury my body decently at my decease and that said son John and wife shall pay to my other children the following sums as follows, to my son Chauncey the of five dollars ($5.00). To my daughter Catherine intermarried with Rudolf Cupp the of ten dollars ($10.00). To my son Francis the sum of Two hundred ($200). To my daughter Magdalena intermarried with Zachariah Christner the sum of one hundred Dollars not to be paid until the decease of her husband. To my son George the sum of five dollars ($5) To my daughter Rebecca Myers intermarried with Christian Myers the sum of two hundred dollars ($200) and to my daughter Jennie intermarried with L. P. Shale the sum of fifty dollars ($50) and it is my will that Eliza Walter formerly Eliza Jude shall have the sum of fifty dollars ($50)"

Jennie's husband is listed as S. P. Shale in the Nov 1888 term of court for the final accounting of George Hoover's will by his executor, John Binkey.
I have received death certificates for George, Magdalena Christner and Jennie Shale all listed in George Hoover's will and they all verify that their parents are George and Mary/Polly Judy Hoover. I will post the information on Catherine's death certificate when I receive it. Hopefully parents are listed on Illinois certificates as they are in Pa.

I will also try to find a will for Jacob Hoover and see if there is a daughter Catherine listed there also.
