Hi. I remember going with my grandmother, Dorothy Emmaline Doetsch (maiden name Fischer), to drop off the information to the Waukegan Historical Society. At the time I was just old enough to drive, so I did not remember all of what she told me. She was born in 1906 and was the daughter of Albert Fischer and Mary Keller. I believe Mary was the daughter of John and Magdelen. What I know is that Orchard St. (or Ave., I don't know which ) is named for their family orchard. Catalpa St. is so named because it was Magdelen's favorite, and Keller Ave. is named after the family. I remember her talking to me about growing up there. She later married Eugene Joseph Doetsch and moved to Chicago and later Skokie. I would love to hear from anyone related to the family!
