Just a few corrections! This information is taken from a newsclipping from the Quincy Herald-Whig, written by Carl Landrum, date unknown.

Ray Pfanschmidt was indicted for 6 counts of murder in the first degree on Jan 21, 1913. The four people mentioned in the previous message were the ones murdered.

The first trial of Ray Pfanschmidt was for the murder of his sister Blanche. It began on Jan. 21, 1913 at the Quincy Courthouse and resulted in Ray being found "guilty" and a date of execution was set for Oct. 18, 1913

However, the verdict was overturned by the Supreme Court (of ILL, I imagine) and the case remanded for retrial in a county other that Adams.

The second trial for the murder of Blanche, his sister, began in Macomb, IL, Oct. 10, 1915. and resulted in a "not guilty" verdict.

Ray was again tried, this time for his father's murder, starting on Feb. 18, 1915 in Princeton, IL and a "not guilty" verdict was reached.

The case for the murder of his mother was dismissed. Carl Landrum doesn't state what happened with the other indictments, but Ray was released and left the Quincy area.
