PERRY – Shirley Mae Jones Stack, 89 passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 with her family by her side. Shirley was born on April 8, 1924 in Malad, Idaho a daughter of Leonard and Clara James Jones. She married her sweetheart Robert Morris Stack on September 20, 1944 in Malad, Idaho. He passed away on July 11, 1990.
Shirley cooked school lunch for over 10 years at the Perry School, had been a cashier at OP Skaggs and worked at Bushnell Hospital. She volunteered at the Brigham City Hospital for over 30 years.
Shirley loved to cook and share with everyone especially her homemade candy and sweet rolls. She had picked many lugs of fruit over the years. She really loved her family and took care of everyone she loved. Shirley had a goal to go to the LDS Temple and she made it!
Surviving are her children: Bobbie Maria (Keith) Parke, Las Vegas; Roscoe W. Stack (special friend Pat Barron), Roy; Michael (Amy) Stack, Salt Lake City, 10 grandchildren: Gerri, Chris, Erik, Melanie, Tracee, Jodee, Courtney, Gina, Mikelle, Kate and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 to 10:40 a.m. at the Mortuary.
Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery.
