Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alice Griffeth Hansen, 82, of Rigby, passed peacefully away in her home Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, on her 64th wedding anniversary, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Preston, Idaho, to Rachel and Thurman Griffeth. Alice loved school and loved learning. She graduated as salutatorian of her high school class.

She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many church callings. She was currently a member of the Rigby 8th Ward.

Along with her husband and two daughters, she served in the Idaho Falls Temple for over nine years. She also served as president of the Jefferson Hills Ladies Golf Association.

Alice loved music and was an extremely talented musician. Alice and her husband, Earl, formed the Olsen Hansen Rhythm Rockers Dance Band. She co-hosted a radio show with Earl on KID Radio in Idaho Falls. She had many talents and hobbies.

Her greatest calling and service in life was that of motherhood. We will miss her dearly, but are grateful for the knowledge that she is at peace in her heavenly home.
