Clara C. Jepsen, 93, of Mink Creek, Idaho, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2013, at her home. She was born Oct. 15, 1919, in Mink Creek, Idaho, the daughter of Martin Christensen and Lula Christina Egley Christensen. Clara graduated from Oneida Academy.

Clara suffered the loss of her first husband, Garth Woodward, after one year of marriage. On Oct. 16, 1941, she married Elias Jepsen in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1991.

She lived her lifetime in the Mink Creek area where she worked side by side with her husband on the family farm.

Clara was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as Relief Society and Young Women president, chorister, compassionate service leader and served as an ordinance worker in the Logan LDS Temple for eight years.

She was a beautiful seamstress, sewing her children’s clothing while they grew up and was an avid quilter. Her greatest joy and love came from nurturing, loving and caring for her children and family.

She is survived by her children, Darrel (Connie) Jepsen of Spokane, Wash., Eileen (Corey) Anderson of Blackfoot, Kaydawn Cole of Blackfoot, Sannette (Richard) Lowe of Kaysville, Utah, Debra Lee (Joseph) McCoy of Preston, Idaho; 28 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Garth Woodward and Elias Jepsen, daughter, Deanna Larson and son-in-law, Jim Cole.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the Mink Creek LDS Chapel, 7316 N. Capitol Hill Rd., Preston, Idaho.

The family will meet with friends from 11 a.m.-12 noon at the church.

Interment will be in the Mink Creek Cemetery under the direction of Hawker Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Preston’s Access Home Care and Hospice, 130 S. State, Preston, Idaho 83263.
