ARIMO, Idaho — Lynn Richard “Dick” Larson of Arimo, Idaho, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at the age of 71. He died as he lived, working to provide for his family. He was born Dec. 13, 1940, in Logan, Utah, to Lynn Alma and Dorothy Bench Larson. Lynn grew up in Preston, Idaho, and graduated from Preston High School. He then continued his education for one year at Utah State University, after which he went into the Armed Forces, where he served for two years.

He met his love and best friend, Betsey Jane Fredrickson, and they were married for time and all eternity Nov. 19, 1965, in the Logan LDS Temple. In 1971, they moved to Arimo, where they raised their three daughters and watched their children and grandchildren grow.

Lynn enjoyed fishing, camping, John Wayne movies, and more than anything he loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed his two oldest grandsons and loved taking them on the truck with him and to the car shows. He knew a little about everything, and could fix anything.

He is survived by his wife Betsey Larson of Arimo; three children, Tawni King of Weston, Idaho, Tiffany (Lyle) Thurgood of Downey, Idaho, and Rebecca (Kurt) Blanchard of Clifton, Idaho; 11 grandchildren; mother Dorothy Larson of Preston, Idaho; brother Rodney (Linda) Larson of Kennewick, Wash.; four sisters, Lynene Larson of Preston, Idaho, Patricia (Dan) Gyllenskogg of Smithfield, Utah, Deborah Woytko of Logan, Utah, and Melanie (Stuart) Bastian of Weston, Idaho; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Lynn A. and many other friends and loved ones.

We love you dad… We will miss you always… Until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, in the Arimo LDS Stake chapel with Bishop Kurtiss Smith officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home, 570 N. Meadowview Drive in Arimo (208-254-3786), and 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to services.
