PRESTON - Keith D. Hodges, 79, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, from natural causes at the Heritage Home in Preston.
He was born Nov. 18, 1927, in Preston, Idaho, the son of Elmer LaMont and Maude Jones Hodges. He served his country during World War II as a Merchant Marine. He married Yvonne Almond on Dec. 20, 1947, in Preston, Idaho. Their marriage was sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on Feb. 7, 1950. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was loved and respected by many friends. To know him was to love him. The No. 1 thing in his life was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne of Preston; two daughters and two sons, Wendy Lee (Jerry) Ransbottom of Pocatello, Idaho, Marvin K. (Carma) Hodges of California, Margene (Dewey) Edwards of Riverton, Utah, and Dennis E. Hodges of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and by two brothers, Thane "Cedar" (Karen) Hodges of Preston, and Larry (Dawn) Hodges of Star, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Elmo, LaMont and Ronald Hodges; and a sister, Marlene Fridley.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Aug. 30, in the Winder Ward chapel with President Ted Taylor of the Legacy 3rd Branch conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Webb Funeral Home, 109 E. Oneida, Preston, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Military rites and interment will be in the Preston Cemetery.
