James Conrad Gordon passed away on Oct. 24, 2013, in Missoula, Mont. He was born Nov. 5, 1929, to Robert Vernon Gordon and Leona Mary Moore-Gordon near the China Hat in southeastern Idaho.

The family lived near Soda Springs, Idaho, where he grew up and attended school. Jim had one sibling named Russel Vernon Gordon.

Jim married Janice Weeks and they had four children. Jim and Janice divorced and Jim lived with three of his children in Osburn, Murray and Wallace over the years. Jim worked at the Sunshine Mine for 31 years. Jim later married Helen Sanborn.

Jim loved hunting, guns and trapping. He enjoyed fishing, he worked hard and loved his family. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and family telling stories. He enjoyed his grandkids. He taught them to fish and catch snakes among many other things. He enjoyed his great-grandchildren immensely.

Jim is survived by his loving children Marie Nottingham and Jerry Gordon, Mike Gordon and his wife Sandy, and Jana Lee Laird and her husband Bill, and step-son Bill Sanborn; his grandchildren Jason Nottingham, Justin Nottingham, Carl Nottingham, Nicole Gordon, Annette Gordon, Derek Nisson, Tiffany Nisson and Jackie Gordon; numerous great grandchildren, and infinite friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Sam.

Jim was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother.

Graveside services will take place in Soda Springs, Idaho. A family gathering will follow.
