Glenn A. Orr, 75, of Pocatello, passed away May 30, 2014, with his family at his bedside after a valiant battle with cancer. Glenn was born on August 8, 1938, in Georgetown, Idaho, to Arlow and Mae (King) Orr in his Grandpa and Grandma King’s log cabin. He was the oldest of four children.

On September 3, 1955, he married the love of his life, Carol LaVerne Slack. They lived in Montpelier, Grace, Preston and Soda Springs before settling in Pocatello in 1961. He owned South Gate Auto & Wrecking and later, along with his brotherin-law, Ken Slack, owned and operated Mountain West Radiator.

He spent many hours refurbishing motorhomes and tinkering around the house on other projects. Glenn enjoyed fishing, boating and camping with his family. He loved reading western novels and had read the entire Louis L’Amour collection. He made many lifelong friends and was a terrific father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.

Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
