Kenneth John Bain "Pops" of St. Charles, Idaho passed away January 15, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, in Ogden, Utah. He was born February 5, 1934 in Ogden to Kenneth John and Della Earl Bain. Ken graduated from Ogden High School in 1952. He served in the Navy for six years during the Korean Conflict. He married Ellen Holmes July 15, 1958; they later divorced.

After a successful career as a sales representative for Meadow Gold and Kraft Foods, Ken retired to Bear Lake, Idaho where he proudly served as a volunteer fireman for Bear Lake County. He was the proud caretaker of Bear Lake Sands and served as a committed member and advocate to preserve Bear Lake. Ken took great joy in coaching Little League Baseball.

He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports; especially golf and football. For the past few years his happiest times were spent playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren on the beautiful sands at Bear Lake.

Ken is survived by his children, Pam Amman, Jodi Nichter (Mike), Kenny Bain (Robin), and Rollo Hall; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Jacquelyn Treu (Jack) and his beloved nieces and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger sister, Judy Simone.

Ken was a loyal and respected friend to all and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., with a visitation prior from 10 to 10:55a.m. where military honors will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bear Lake County Fire Department in Kens name.
