Robert Clair Bolton, 95, of Soda Springs, Idaho went home to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center in Soda Springs. He was born on December 15, 1917 in Paris, Idaho the son of Henry T. and Rose Rosen Bolton.

He married Ruby Christensen on June 1, 1940 in Central, Idaho. They were sealed in the Logan Temple in 1943. He was a High Priest in the 2nd Ward and a home teacher for many years.

He was raised and educated in Paris, Conda and Soda Springs. He graduated from ISU Vo Tech. After their marriage they moved to Pocatello where he worked at the Texaco station. They had their first child there. They moved back to Soda Springs where he worked at Coppard’s Garage, then he owned and managed the Texaco and Conoco stations until his retirement in 1979.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an avid coin collector. He was also very proud of his beautiful yard that he maintained and loved.

He is survived by his wife Ruby Bolton, children Anita (Larry) French of Inkom, ID, Bobby (Valerie) Bolton of Soda Springs, ID, Coralee (Mark) Liechty of Soda Springs, ID. He has 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Curtis Lynn Bolton of College Station, TX and his parents and siblings.

He was loved by many and will be very missed.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Thursday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Stake Center prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
