I am not related. It appears L E Ratley was Louis or Lon E Ratley son of Elam Ratley and Augustus Wilkins. Can't find anything on Janus or James Brauner/Bruner.

There are 2 unreadable markers for Ratley's in Union Cemetery, Dale Co.

Mary Lula Brauner/Bruner Ratley 26 Oct 1872 GA or AL-21 May 1922 Columbus, Muscogee GA was returned to Ozark AL for burial, W R Ratley of Bainbridge GA informant and she lived in Columbus 2 yrs. Lula, son James Raymond were in Ozark in 1920 census with his wife Carrie and 2 sons.

James Raymond Ratley 1889 AL-01 Mar 1929 Mecklenburg, NC married Carrie Beatrice Harper b. AL abt 1894; son James H 1918 AL, son "Lewe/Louie E" 1920 AL, Mary L 1922 MS, Elizabeth 1924 NC, James Raymond Jr 1926 Meck. Co NC and twins Margaret and Myra born 04 Jul 1929 GA. Carrie and the children moved to Columbus, Muscogee GA after the death of James Raymond Ratley, Margaret died 25 Sept 1930 in Columbus. Carrie Beatrice Ratley 17 Jan 1894 AL-16 Dec 1982 Asheville, NC buried in Columbus GA dtr of Joseph Harper and Mary Goodman.

Fred Elum Ratley 12 or 16 Oct 1891/1892 Ozark Co AL-08 Jul 1941 Pinellas Co FL registered WW I draft in Ware Co GA in 1917 had wife & 2 children had served 4 yrs as private in Alabama Natl Guard in the infantry. They show up in Pinellas Co FL 1940 census. Irene E Ratley 1894 AL, Stafford E Ratley 1915 AL-1986 FL, Clements C Ratley 1918 AL, "Lewie" K Ratley 1921 AL and they lived there in 1935. Fred is buried Dunedin Cemetery in Dunedin.

Clarence Ratley b. GA 1866 lived in Ozark, Dale Co 1900. He was Charles Clarence Ratley born 12 Mar 1866 "Manassas" GA son of Elam Ratley and Augustus Wilkins he married Mattie lived in Dallas Co AL and died there 29 Nov 1930 and buried in Selma the next day. Mattie was born AL abt 1905.
