Among my uncle’s papers after he died was a copy of the graduation information of students who graduated from St. Thomas Seminary, Bloomfield, Connecticut in 1936 along with a halftone photograph which I have copied and attach to this post.

“That suit is best that best fits me.”
Treasurer: Sacristan; Baseball Manager.
Presenting another of the six year men who can really call St. Thomas a home. Joe has really become an indispensable part of the seminary. The capable method by which he carried out his duties as sacristan is mute testimony to his painstaking care and sense of perfection. And who can forget those football games? If a game ended without Joe in the infirmary or hospital, it was little short of a miracle. Well, there’s no sense in wishing Joe success. He’ll attain it.
