Seeking the connection between the ALLEE families of Wilton and Ridgefield, Fairfield, CT. Daniel ALLEE (1781-1866) was an accountant, born in NY, worked in NYC, then married Esther HANFORD of Wilton, CT and settled there; a wealthy patron of Zion's Hill ME Church. He had one known son, William Hanford ALLEE (1819-1830) who passed young, and possibly one daughter b. abt 1811-1820. Later, there was another (Dr.) William Hanford ALLEE (1872-1927, m. Laura CURIE ALLEE SHIELDS) living in Ridgefield, CT. He was the son of William Hanford ALLEE (1834-1902, born a few years after Daniel's son of the same name passed) and Harriet HURLBUTT of NYC. William Sr. was the son of Joseph Bishop ALLEE (1807-1886) and Mary Jane FORBES of NYC. Joseph was a wealthy real estate mogul, son of Jeremiah ALLEE (1777-1846) and Elizabeth DARROW of NYC and Moravia, Cayuga, NY. Jeremiah was the son of John ALLEE and Jane SECOR/SICARD of New Rochelle, Westchester, NY--descended from Jean d'Ailly, the Huguenot. Question: Is Daniel ALLEE the brother of Jeremiah, or possibly a cousin--is he the son of John ALLEE's older son William?
