Im not sure if you ever got what you were looking for ? This post of yours was some time ago . This may sound strange to you , I am originally from Trinity county and now belong to a group that is doing the paranormal investigation of the Lewiston Hotel . It was recently on the Redding news . We are Tryad Investigations [a.k.a. I.P.R.C.] There is a George Clayton tied to the history of the family that once lived in and ran the hotel from the late 1800's to the 1920's . We have been trying to figure out who George was as well and how he was linked to this family ? He is buried in the Koll family plot , death 1914 , just over the bridge from the Lewiston Hotel . We know that John Koll[ original owner of the hotel ]had been a miner and had lived in a home with his wife Louise in the same area as George Clayton once had . These properties are now what is Trinity Lake . George in census record was listed as being a farmland owner there , as well as living in the Lewiston area . George did have one young child that died as your ad shows , and the child that passed was buried in the Weaverville cemetery . We are trying to piece together who all is tied to the Lewiston Hotel's history for the owner and who all may have passed away in the building for our research . George Clayton's relationship to the Kolls remains a mystery for us . But he is buried with them on their plot , just off to the left of them , next to a tree in a very peacful spot. We have photos of the graves on the Tryad Paranormal Investigations page @ Facebook . One showing George Claytons stone . This has been one of the most interesting investigations over the last 20 years of doing this type of thing for me . Since my family too is tied to the building of the Hotel . I hope you have already put your history together . If you happen to know anything about how he may have passed on ,or what the relationship to The Koll family may have been.,we would love to know the story .
