Our beloved husband, dad, grandpa and brother passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Yuma, Arizona. Ted Martin Beckstead was born on Jan. 7, 1957 in Soda Springs, Idaho, the fifth son of Alden and Leda Beckstead. He enjoyed growing up with five brothers and told many stories of their adventures.

Ted graduated from Grace High School in 1975. He worked various jobs until he started working for the Union Pacific Railroad in Soda Springs, where he met the love of his life, Cheryl Brown. The two were later married on Feb. 18, 1983. Three children , Terra, Melinda and Braiden completed their family. They made their home in Soda Springs where he began working for Monsanto soon after the depot closed.

He was an avid outdoorsman and had a great love for animals. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and just sitting in the early daybreak listening to the elk bugle. Ted was a great family man and enjoyed spending his time teasing his grandchildren.

Ted retired from Monsanto after 27 years and began his new adventure in Yuma, Arizona where he lived the remainder of his years with his sweetheart by his side.
