I think I have gone as far as I can to which is an Unalaska church in the 1830's where my gggrandmother had her first marriage and didn't have a last name Her 2nd dh was a Russian prince from the Russian American Company. Her two daughters had dh's from Norway who each ran ACC/NCC posts in Andreafsky and Unalakleet. What I find sad is that I am probably the only one who knows that there are cousins living in the same area and they don't know they are related to people who left there mark on Alaska. One Googled her ancestor's maiden name and saw one of my posts. We emailed each other but she didn't believe me because the census taker for 1920 (proof used for the Alaska Native Claims Act) used her grandmother's nick name instead of the name she was baptised with. I later found the correct name misspelled in the 1930 census but I don't want to argue with anyone who doesn't want to be related to me.
Have you written and posted any other articles on the history of Alaska? I found both Genealogy Bank and Fold3 have articles on my ancestor from the 1890's. One relative was an RN named Lucia Fredericks(on) Petrie. She moved to Seattle and wrote a series of articles about Native folklore for a newspaper. They are at Genealogy Bank.
