In the 1860 Perry County census, Owen G. Wright is listed with his wife Mary(Polly) Suttle and their children. Next door is P.J. Nichols listed as a 24 yr old single head of household. (Believe this should be T.J.)
Tillman Jackson Nichols married Rachel Francis Lovelady, daughter of David Lovelady and Dorothea Clabaugh in 1863 in Perry Co.
Owen Wright's daughter, Mary Ann, married John Ross Hooks in 1855 in Perry County.
John Ross Hooks and Mary Ann Wright's son, Jesse Lafayette Hooks, married Sarah Ann Nichols, daughter of Tillman Jackson Nichols and Rachel Francis Lovelady in 1883 in Dallas Co. AL.
Laurence Pool Nichols married Margaret Jane Lovelady, (sister to Rachel Francis Lovelady Nichols) in 1866 in Perry Co. These two Nichols families are found living next to each other in the 1880 Perry Co. census.
Laurence P. Nichols is found on the 1860 census in the household of Arthur Nichols. He is listed as 15 years old. He is NOT however, with Arthur in the 1850 census, leading me to believe that he may NOT be the son of Arthur, just a relative. Arthur is listed on page 661 of that census, and the P.J. Nichols mentioned above is on page 666.
THESE ARE MY BURNING QUESTIONS. ARE TILLMAN JACKSON NICHOLS AND LAURENCE POOL NICHOLS BROTHERS? AND IF SO, WHO ARE THEIR PARENTS?
