I am not sure what you are interested in knowing. I can tell you that after participating in many of the Virginia battles that we all studied in history, he rcieved an Artillery shell wound during the battle Battle of Sharpsburg, Md. on Sept 17, 1862. He was a Captain of Company K of the 8th Ala Infantry, known as the Southern Guards from May 1861 until Nov. 2 1864, when he was promoted to Maj. when Col. Young Lea Royston was forced to retire due to battle wounds. During the Battle of the Wilderness in Virginia, on May 6th, 1864, Duke Nall was seriously injured when he was shot through the lung. He eventually recovered and rejoined his company. They were on the outskirts of Augusta, Georgia, that winter when Duke Nall developed phneumonia as a result of that lung injury and died on the 7th of Feb., 1865. He is buried in the Confederate section of Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, Georgia. If you are a relative and interested in contacting me, I have a picture of Duke Nall in his uniform and I have a picture of his burial site in Georgia.
