There are earlier references in this thread to his parents in the 1915 Kansas census and to his father with new wife Mary in 1920. If that John is in fact the younger John's father, then they had moved to Chicago by 1930:

I think sons Rudolph and John are actually his stepsons.

Some of the records you want may not be online. If you can't find them online, you may want to contact Kansas to search for a possible death record for Anna between 1915-20, and for a possible marriage record for John Sarley to a Nancy Demski during the same period.

And perhaps there's a death record for John Sarley in Chicago after 1940.
